Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer for the Portfolio team to translate real-time financial data into clear, usable interfaces for millions of users.

You’ll own high-visibility features across web (React/TypeScript) and native mobile, from design to production. Collaborating with backend, design and product, you will shape product outcomes, raise the engineering bar through rigorous reviews, and drive performance, accessibility, and reliable UI in a fast-paced, remote-first

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience building consumer-facing web applications.
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript with modern frontend fundamentals.
• Experience shipping complex features end-to-end in data-intensive apps where latency matters.
• Experience with real-time/high-throughput UIs and backend API integration (REST/GraphQL).

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of core Portfolio experiences including balances, holdings, and PnL across web (React/TypeScript) and native mobile (iOS and Android).
• Build performant, accessible, pixel-accurate UI that renders real-time financial data at Coinbase scale.
• Partner with backend, design, and product to take ambiguous problems from scoping through production rollout.
• Drive frontend architecture and quality including component reuse, state management, testing, and performance instrumentation.
• Strengthen the team's engineering bar through rigorous code reviews, technical mentorship, and well-documented architecture decisions.
