Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer for the Portfolio team to turn real-time financial data into clear, accessible UI for millions of users across web and mobile. You will own balances, holdings, and PnL experiences using React/TypeScript.

Collaborate with backend, design, and product to scope ambiguous problems, ship features end-to-end, and push for performance, accessibility, and robust frontend architecture. You will mentor teammates and help raise engineering bar.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience building consumer-facing web applications.
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Experience shipping complex features end-to-end in financial or data-intensive apps.
• Experience building real-time/high-throughput UIs and integrating with backend APIs.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own Portfolio experiences including balances, holdings, and PnL across web and mobile.
• Build performant, accessible UI rendering real-time financial data at scale.
• Partner with backend, design, and product from scoping to production rollout.
• Drive frontend architecture, state management, testing, and performance instrumentation.
• Mentor teammates and document architecture decisions.
