Job summary

BurnBot, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer, UI/UX to build operator-facing software for mission planning, live supervision, mapping, alarms, and fleet tooling. Focus is on production front-end delivery and validating usability with operators under real field burn conditions.

You will craft live telemetry/video interfaces, operator controls, and state visualizations to support day-to-day decisions in mission workflows, while owning the design system as the fleet scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production front-end software with TS/React.
• Experience with real-time and streaming data in the browser (telemetry/video/state).
• Geospatial UI experience using Mapbox/Leaflet/deck.gl.

Responsibilities

• Operator interface development for telemetry, video, machine state and controls.
• Mission planning and mapping support for treatment boundaries.
• Alarms and alerts design specifying interruption signals and actions.
• Hands-on UX work including crew research and interface sketches.
• Design system ownership and coherent tooling as fleet grows.
