Job summary

Doist is seeking a generalist senior product engineer to join our early New York City team to build user-facing aspects of the Starbridge platform, focusing on fast, stable frontends that explain complex concepts to non-technical users.

You will collaborate with product and design, iterate quickly, and uphold the highest UX/UI standards while measuring and optimizing performance. Startup experience and modern web stack expertise are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in modern web ecosystems.
• 5+ years with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, RESTful API, CSS and frontend tech.
• Experience in startup or small company with engineering impact.
• Strong UX/UI focus and performance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build user-facing frontend components for the Starbridge platform.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to ship features quickly.
• Explain technical concepts to non-technical users and iterate based on feedback.
• Focus on performance, stability, and measurable UX improvements.
