Job summary

Posh, based in NYC, is seeking a Design Engineer to bridge design and frontend engineering for our consumer platform. You will work on both the React Native event discovery app and the React web tools, unifying product, design, and engineering on the platform team.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years building frontend for consumer products, strong React/React Native and TypeScript skills, and a portfolio that showcases design-first craftsmanship. This is an in‑person role in our NYC SoHo office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production frontend for consumer products.
• 2+ years in a Design Engineer–style role.
• Strong React and React Native experience; TypeScript and modern CSS.
• Figma fluency with shared component libraries.
• Portfolio of shipped work showing craft and attention to detail.
• Strong product instincts and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Blur the lines between design and production code, collaborating with product, design, and engineering.
• Improve design system usability and optimize responsiveness and motion.
• Own delight as a deliverable, adding micro-interactions in reviews and prioritizing delightful surfaces.
• Evolve the design system across mobile and web, keeping components lean.
• Prototype with code to resolve debates and inform feature direction.
