Job summary

Kraken is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Payments & Blockchain team, focusing on payment systems integration and secure funds handling. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality processing systems using React.js, APIs, and WebSockets—aimed at fast, secure transfers.

You will influence technical decisions, mentor engineers, and drive scalable, compliant financial software development in a remote-capable, global team environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with a web/mobile focus.
• Experience with Next.js, RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tooling.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles.
• Experience in a large technology organization or fast-growing startup.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality payment processing systems using React.js and other relevant technologies.
• Build and refine seamless transaction experiences that optimize fund transfers for speed, security, and reliability.
