Job summary

Gallatin in California is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to build self-contained, reusable UI components for the Navigator platform. You will focus on the frontend, work with RESTful APIs, and contribute to design systems, tests, and DX.

You'll collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ship features across desktop and iPad, support offline PWA mode, and help define CI/CD best practices while delivering production-ready code and high-performance experiences.

Qualifications

• Great problem solver.
• Familiarity with HTTP request codes.
• Experience testing API requests with Postman or Insomnia.
• Ability to troubleshoot CORS issues.
• Great communicator.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and high uptime / low latency web apps.
• Frontend testing frameworks experience: Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Vitest.

Responsibilities

• Build robust Vue-based frontend components that integrate with API endpoints.
• Modularize and improve the visual design library and tokens.
• Support offline Progressive Web App mode for Disconnected Operations.
• Help define best practices and CI/CD workflows with strong DX.
• Create a high-powered UI with real-world usability and performance.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and deliver production-ready code.
• Ensure Navigator app runs reliably on Desktop and iPad.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams on rapid feature builds.
• Balance shipping UX features with pixel-perfect mockups.
