Scribd, Inc. is seeking a frontend-focused engineer to advance discovery experiences on Scribd and Everand. You’ll work across ML-powered interfaces, collaborating with backend and ML teams to ship user-facing features and maintain scalable frontend architectures.

You will influence code strategy, participate in interviews, and mentor engineers while delivering robust, high-performance web applications used by millions of users.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js or similar modern web frameworks.
• Familiarity with Microfrontend architectures, monorepos, or shared frontend platforms.
• Strong understanding of web performance, bundling, and optimization techniques.
• Experience collaborating with backend and platform teams to define clean integration patterns.
• Comfort operating in high-traffic, high-visibility environments with real user impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend user experiences powered by Machine Learning and Generative AI.
• Collaborate with backend and ML engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Contribute to code strategy, architecture, implementation, delivery, and operation.
• Review code, mentor less experienced engineers, and participate in interviews.
• Focus on testability, upgradeability, scalability, and observability throughout development.
