Scribd, Inc. is seeking a frontend-focused engineer to build high-quality, scalable user interfaces powered by machine learning and generative AI. The role emphasizes collaboration with design, product, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features across Scribd’s discovery platforms.

You will contribute to architecture, code strategy, and mentoring while operating in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment with occasional in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and React expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js or similar modern frameworks.
• Familiarity with Microfrontend architectures, monorepos, or shared frontend platforms.
• Strong understanding of web performance and optimization techniques.
• Experience collaborating with backend and platform teams to define clean integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build the user-facing experiences powered by Machine Learning and Generative AI.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend/ML engineers.
• Contribute to code strategy, architecture, implementation, delivery, and operation of systems end-to-end.
• Review code and mentor less experienced engineers; participate in interviews.
