Ladders is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer I - eCommerce to join a leader in healthcare, building a high-performing, accessible booking and checkout experience for a transactional journey. You will partner with Product and Marketing to ship experiments, improve funnel performance, and influence frontend architecture with React, Next.js, and TypeScript for a remote US team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of frontend engineering experience, with 3+ years in React and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Next.js or similar React frameworks, including server-side rendering and routing.
• Deep understanding of semantic HTML and modern CSS.
• Experience with data-fetching and state management patterns such as TanStack Query and Zustand.
• Strong testing practices using tools such as Vitest, Testing Library, and Playwright.
• Experience building transactional flows, particularly in checkout and payment systems.
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA and Core Web Vitals standards.

Responsibilities

• Own features within the booking experience, including checkout and payments.
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing to ship and analyze experiments on the booking funnel.
• Build fast, accessible features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and design, with a focus on sensible component boundaries.
• Integrate the booking experience with APIs and third-party services.
• Instrument features for performance and analytics while respecting customer consent.
• Improve Core Web Vitals and rendering performance on a high-traffic funnel.
