Job summary

ALSO. is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer, Design Systems & Commerce to shape the storefront experience from campaigns to cart. As an early hire, you will own critical surfaces and work closely with a small, motivated team to deliver delightful, fast pages.

You will bridge engineering and creative, extending the design system, building Shopify theme sections, and ensuring performant, accessible experiences across devices, using Liquid, GraphQL APIs, and modern frontend tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong Shopify experience is a must.
• Experience with Online Store 2.0 theme architecture (sections, blocks, metafields, metaobjects).
• Experience with Storefront and Admin GraphQL APIs.
• Ability to translate Figma into durable, composable code.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend tooling.
• Experience building or extending a design system.

Responsibilities

• Build more pages, storefront pages, and seasonal landing pages.
• Extend and steward the design system: components, tokens, patterns.
• Architect Shopify theme sections and metafields for easy authoring.
• Collaborate with creative and UX to ship pages quickly.
• Own merchandising surfaces: category pages, filters, and bundles.
• Ensure Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
