UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain external payer-facing UIs with AI-powered capabilities. You will collaborate closely with product, UX/UI, and backend teams to translate complex requirements into accessible, scalable interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on web application development
• 3+ years of experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs or cloud-native microservices
• 2+ years of experience leveraging AI tools, intelligent APIs, or automated solutions to enhance features or workflows
• 2+ years of experience with front-end automated testing tools and frameworks (Jest, RTL, Cypress)
• Demonstrated experience implementing WCAG 2.1 and web security guidelines

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable UI for external payer-facing applications
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered UI capabilities to address complex business challenges
• Use enterprise AI tools to streamline software engineering workflows and automate tasks
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies to inform frontend solution design and architecture
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend teams to translate requirements into UI features
• Drive front-end architectural decisions, ensure WCAG compliance, and enforce security best practices across apps
• Develop reusable component libraries and integrate design systems for consistency
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers
