TELUS Health Retirement and Benefits Solutions is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to serve as the technical backbone of our DC pension portal applications. You will mentor developers, translate complex business requirements into elegant UI solutions, and shape product architecture.

You will bridge vision and execution, leading design-to-code efforts, championing new technologies, and delivering robust, accessible web experiences for North American clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of frontend development experience.
• Core frontend technologies and modern web stack.
• Experience with Angular and RESTful APIs.
• Accessibility and inclusive design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug cutting-edge web applications using Angular, modern web technologies, and relational databases.
• Lead and mentor a team, shaping product architecture and project plans.

What you’ll do:

Build & Innovate**

• Design, code, test, and debug cutting-edge web applications using Angular, modern web technologies, and relational databases
• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to translate UI/UX designs into code.
• Tackle the most complex technical challenges with minimal direction—this is where your expertise truly shines
  

Lead & Mentor

• Shape product architecture and develop comprehensive project plans
• Guide and review your team’s work, fostering growth in junior developers
• Be the technical expert everyone turns to when the stakes are high
  

Strategize & Execute

• Research and champion new technologies that keep us ahead of the curve
• Develop accurate cost and time estimates, making critical decisions to keep projects on track
• Propose innovative solutions based on evolving business needs
  

Support & Solve

• Provide Tier III technical support for the most urgent and complex issues
• Be the hero when critical problems need expert-level troubleshooting
• Monitor trends and continuously improve our support processes
  

What you bring:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of battle-tested frontend development experience
  

Technical Mastery

• Core Skills: CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, AJAX
• Database Expertise: MS SQL Server 2019, T‑SQL
• Frameworks: Angular, Angular Material Library
• Modern Tools: Visual Studio, Bootstrap, HTML5
• Integration: RESTFul APIs, XML, JSON
• Methodologies: DevOps, Agile
• Architecture: Multi-tier Internet/Intranet applications with proven design patterns
• Some knowledge of AngularJS
• SASS

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
