Job summary

OpenLoop is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to serve as the technical architect for our unified web platform. You will shape the front end, own load times, and consolidate services without breaking clients.

This is an architecture-first role focused on end-user experience for patients, clinicians, and clients. You will lead the design and delivery of a scalable frontend, mentor teams, and set standards for performance, accessibility, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, front-end/UI focus.
• Deep expertise in React and Next.js with TypeScript and modern tooling.
• Experience scaling a large enterprise frontend built by multiple teams.
• Track record of highly performant UIs with measurable improvements.
• Strong problem-solving and system-level thinking.
• User-centric mindset and bias for the end-user experience.
• Clear communication with engineers, designers and product partners.

Responsibilities

• Architect a unified front end over many services and teams.
• Decide packaging and distribution strategy for shared libraries and components.
• Own end-to-end performance, set budgets and monitor real-user metrics.
• Lead migration of existing apps into the unified platform with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with UX designers to deliver accessible, responsive experiences.
• Establish frontend coding standards and participate in interview processes.
