Job summary

Workiva, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help drive the major TypeScript and React transition across our frontend stack. You will ship production-grade frontend code, participate in architectural decisions, and raise the quality bar for the team.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver well-integrated, high-quality UI surfaces, optimize performance, and mentor peers while embracing AI-assisted development workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of frontend development experience with a Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and React in production applications.
• Familiarity with microfrontend architecture or multi-team frontend environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain frontend features and components in TypeScript and React across shell and microfrontend surfaces.
• Contribute to architecture and technical discussions within the team.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Optimize UI performance and responsiveness for a smooth user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable code following team standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Develop and execute automated tests (unit, integration, functional).
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across frontend surfaces and integration points.
• Collaborate with support teams to triage and resolve production issues.
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers on the team.
• Leverage AI tooling to improve efficiency.
