Job summary

Nscale in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Principal Front End Network Engineer – AI Infrastructure to lead reliability, scalability, and evolution of high-performance Ethernet front-end networks for AI workloads.

You will architect leaf-spine/Clos fabrics (Arista and Nokia platforms, with Nvidia Cumulus) to support inference, management, and storage traffic while mentoring engineers and guiding cross-team initiatives to improve uptime and performance at scale.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience in network engineering focused on hyperscale data centers or AI infrastructure.
Expert-level operational and architectural experience with large-scale Ethernet fabrics (leaf-spine/Clos).
Strong hands-on experience with Nvidia Cumulus, Arista EOS/Etherlink and Nokia platforms at scale.

Responsibilities

Own the technical direction and strategy for front-end AI infrastructure networks.
Design and evolve large-scale Ethernet leaf-spine/Clos fabrics to support growth and workloads.
Escalate and guide deep technical investigations for complex network incidents.
Lead cross-team initiatives to improve fabric reliability, observability, and maturity.
Define standards for configuration, routing, firmware, automation, and change safety.
Collaborate with SRE, Compute, Storage, and Network Architecture teams on end-to-end design.
Mentor senior/principal network engineers and raise operational rigor.
Drive improvements in uptime, latency, and capacity while reducing incidents.
