Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Senior Principal Front End Network Engineer – AI Infrastructure to lead reliability, scalability, and evolution of high-performance Ethernet front-end networks for AI workloads. You’ll influence architecture and standards, guiding cross-team initiatives across the platform.

You will mentor senior engineers and drive improvements in uptime, latency, and capacity, working with Arista, Nvidia Cumulus, and Nokia platforms at scale.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Expertise with large-scale Ethernet fabrics (leaf-spine/Clos).
• Hands-on with Nvidia Cumulus, Arista EOS, Nokia platforms at scale.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN and DCI.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and operational strategy for front-end AI infrastructure networks.
• Design and evolve large-scale Ethernet leaf-spine/Clos fabric architectures for growth and storage needs.
• Act as escalation point for complex incidents and guide deep technical investigations.
• Drive cross-team initiatives to improve fabric reliability, observability, and operational maturity.
• Define standards for hardware configuration, routing, firmware lifecycle, automation, and change safety across platforms.
• Partner with SRE, Compute, Storage, and Network Architecture teams on end-to-end system design.
• Mentor senior and principal-level engineers and raise technical standards.
• Drive improvements in uptime, latency, and capacity for front-end services.
