Job summary

JPMorganChase in Columbus, OH is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Consumer and Community Banking/Digital team. You will be a seasoned member of an agile team, designing and delivering trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment.

You will leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools to boost quality and speed, craft production-ready code, and contribute architecture, data visualizations, and continuous improvement across applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
• Experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools with ability to evaluate, validate, and refine outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling, with guidance for peers.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies including CI/CD, resiliency, and security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve value and automation.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications ensuring design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes data to develop visualizations and reporting for continuous improvement.
• Identifies hidden patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
