Job summary

Cydecor, a premier Federal Government solutions provider, is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer for the MARS Infrastructure Team in Reston, VA. You’ll develop modern frontend applications using Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript within an Agile team, with onsite support during implementation and testing and optional telework.

The role requires 6+ years in distributed software, frontend microservices, API best practices, and secure software development.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as Software Engineer developing distributed software applications.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, React, and Angular.
• Experience with Linux, Git, and Artifactory.
• Deep understanding and experience developing frontend microservices.
• Strong understanding and knowledge in API best practices.
• Strong data modeling experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in Agile development technologies.
• Experience developing secure software systems.
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver modern secure software applications to enable the intel mission
• Troubleshoot defects, deduce root cause, and implement mechanisms to prevent reoccurrence
• Maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns
• Analyze and test programs before formal launch
• Collaborate with team to determine best practices and client requirements
• Divide and conquer software development tasks with other developers
• Coach and train team members to improve collaboration
• Ensure software security by monitoring sharing of private information
• Seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
• Groom user stories, breakdown tasks and estimate effort
