Job summary

Bellwood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep React and front-end experience to join our product development team. You will own features end-to-end, raise the bar on testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and secure delivery for client projects.

You'll collaborate with an experienced team, mentor engineers, and partner with client teams to ensure maintainable patterns as products scale. Compensation reflects your seniority and impact, with onsite visits and remote-friendly options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Deep experience with React and Redux, including application design.
• Strong TypeScript experience with REST APIs integration.
• Experience with React unit/integration testing and end-to-end testing.
• Demonstrated code review leadership on React codebases.
• Experience authoring and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows and administering GitHub repositories.
• Experience building accessible, responsive UIs within a shared design system.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple projects and technologies.
• Experience with Vitest, Playwright, Snyk, SonarQube, Next.js, AWS or enterprise platforms is valued.

Responsibilities

• Own feature development end-to-end in React applications from design to release.
• Establish and improve automated quality gates with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Lead code reviews to improve quality and maintainability across client codebases.
• Author and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for build, test, lint, and security checks.
• Administer GitHub repositories, including dependency management and permissions.
• Collaborate with client teams to harden security and quality through updates and analysis.
• Build reusable patterns and design system integrations for scalable products.
• Mentor engineers and partner with distributed teams on modern React practices.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Adapt quickly across technologies and client platforms.
