Job summary

FitNext Consulting is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer (Flutter) for a US-based PropTech startup. This fully remote role requires 5+ years of software experience and strong Flutter expertise across mobile and web platforms, with at least 50% EST overlap.

You will turn Figma designs into high-quality UI components, integrate RESTful APIs, and collaborate with back-end engineers while applying AI tools to speed development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years building cross-platform Flutter apps (mobile and web) with testing.
• Strong knowledge of MVC/MVVM patterns and Riverpod or similar state management.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and testing endpoints.

• Fluent English with strong communication.
• At least 50% EST overlap and willingness to follow US holidays.

Location: Remote (LATAM), with at least 50% overlap with EST business hours

Salary: USD 50k – 70k/year, based on experience and location

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer fluent in Flutter to join our fully remote engineering team. You’ll work on both our mobile app (iOS/Android) and our web app, keeping the experience seamless across platforms. Engineers hired outside the US have the same responsibilities and expectations as our in-house team. The only difference is location. We’re a small team, so your opinion carries weight and initiative is valued.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain cross-platform Flutter apps for mobile (iOS/Android) and web
• Follow and improve our front-end architecture standards to keep code modular, maintainable, and scalable
• Work with UI/UX designers to turn Figma designs into high-quality Flutter components and interfaces
• Work with back-end engineers to integrate APIs and optimize data flows
• Write and maintain unit, widget, and integration tests
• Use AI tools in your daily workflow to improve development speed and quality
• Help improve CI/CD pipelines, code review practices, and version control workflows
• Implement analytics and observability tools to monitor user interactions, app performance, and system health
• Troubleshoot and debug UI and performance issues in production
• Contribute to technical documentation, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing across the team

Must Have

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with production applications
• 3+ years building cross-platform Flutter apps (mobile and web), including testing (Flutter Test, Mockito, Patrol, or similar)
• Strong grasp of architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM) and state management with Riverpod or similar (Provider, Bloc, Redux)
• Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs and testing endpoints (Postman, Insomnia, cURL)
• Regular use of AI tools in your development workflow (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar)
• Strong proficiency with Git and GitHub, including branching strategies, rebasing, and pull request best practices
• Fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• At least 50% work hour overlap with EST and willingness to follow the US holiday calendar

Nice to Have

• Experience building AI-powered features into apps (integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, chat, recommendations)
• Experience with analytics and monitoring tools (Firebase Analytics, Sentry, PostHog, HubSpot)
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for mobile and web (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Bitrise) and deploying with AWS Amplify, Firebase Hosting, or DigitalOcean
• Experience with issue tracking tools (Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues)
• Previous experience at a startup or on a small team, with autonomy and a strong sense of ownership
