The Fluency platform is built using a native AWS architecture. We use JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS3, Java, Spring Boot, Aurora, S3, Elastic Beanstalk along with whatever else makes sense for the job at hand.

Job Summary

A Senior Frontend Engineer at Fluency will build key product features, continuously improving the experience for our customers. You will work with the Product and UX teams on current projects, interpreting product ideas and mockups to create new web-based user interfaces. You’ll balance a consistent look and feel across the application with these fresh features. You will collaborate often with other Software Engineers to define and refine our REST API and address client issues with existing product modules.

Your Role

1. Project planning and execution based on the product development pipeline
2. Collaboration across multiple business units and departments to develop solutions addressing key initiatives
3. Gather and refine technical specifications and requirements
4. Write well-designed, testable, efficient code following best practices
5. Implement and evolve website interfaces using standard HTML/CSS/JS
6. Integrate data from various backend services and databases
7. Create and maintain software documentation
8. Actively seek and remove impediments to team success
9. Present issues and risks to management with proposed mitigations
10. Influence technology and architectural decisions
11. Continuously improve development productivity, quality, and team morale

What We Look For

1. 5+ years of experience in web application and enterprise software development
2. Deep understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3) and experience with JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js, React, Angular
3. Knowledge of AWS, Vue.js, Bootstrap, Java, Spring Boot is a plus
4. Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a related field is a plus but not required; proven talent and skills are valued
5. Knowledge of current web development strategies and trends
6. Attention to design/usability details and skills for visual reviews
7. Experience leading and inspiring development teams
8. Knowledge of data-driven development methodologies
9. Appreciation for feedback and iterative development cycles
10. Experience in the advertising industry is a plus

Fluency is headquartered in Vermont. This position is remote US-based. If local, you have the option to work in the office.
