Job summary

M&T Bank seeks a Senior Technology Manager in Buffalo, NY to lead the Fraud Technology Department, directing engineering managers, software engineers, and data engineers to build and operate real-time fraud detection and decisioning platforms.

You will drive governance, budgets, vendor analysis, and cross-functional partnerships with Risk, Cybersecurity, and Operations while advancing cloud-native modernization and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 13 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including 4 years’ engineering/architecture and 9 years technology management/leadership
• Proficiency with project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Capable of leading multiple projects of a complex nature
• Experience with large system enhancements and production problem resolution

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering managers, software engineers, architects, and data engineers for fraud technology platforms
• Lead real-time fraud detection, transaction monitoring, and risk scoring initiatives
• Establish engineering standards, governance, and platform SLAs/SLOs
• Drive workforce planning, budgeting, and cross-functional partnerships across Fraud Operations, Risk and Cybersecurity
