Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Product Manager for Fraud to build tools that balance customer experience with fraud prevention. You’ll own the strategy and design for risk controls across money movement and account integrity while collaborating with data science and risk teams to deploy ML models.

You will lead efforts to measure risk effectiveness and customer impact, shaping friction points like holds, verification steps, and decisioning, ensuring a seamless Mercury banking experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management, including fraud or risk in banking/fintech.
• Deep understanding of how risk friction impacts user experience, growth and retention.
• Experience with complex automated decisioning systems, rules, ML models, real-time data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Shape strategy and roadmap for fraud prevention across your area.
• Design and execute on strategic vision to mitigate fraud and improve risk experience at Mercury.
• Craft user journeys applying friction based on risk signals while minimizing disruption to good users.
• Build tooling for risk and support teams to manage case volume, exceptions and high-touch cases.
• Partner with data science to develop, deploy, and improve ML models.
• Establish and track metrics measuring risk, operations, and customer experience impact.
• Support Mercury's risk capabilities to scale across the product suite.
