Job summary

Compeer Financial is seeking a senior leader to own and advance the organization’s fraud risk management program, including strategy, governance, technology, monitoring, and prevention capabilities.

You will establish priorities, frameworks, and a long-term roadmap, and advise senior leadership on exposure, trends, and investments while collaborating across functions to drive improvements and maturity in fraud programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, data analytics, information systems, criminal justice, risk management, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expert-level experience in fraud risk management within the financial services industry.
• Advanced-level experience leading significant programs or complex matters within a bank or similar financial institution.
• Significant experience with implementing fraud detection tools, transaction monitoring, data analysis and reporting.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified AML and Fraud Professional (CAFP), Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS) or related designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the organization's fraud risk management program strategy, governance, technology, monitoring, and prevention capabilities.
• Establish program priorities, risk frameworks, operating standards, and a long-term roadmap for fraud resilience.
• Advise senior leadership on fraud risk exposure, prevention strategies, and program investments.
• Lead day-to-day fraud monitoring, detection, and prevention capabilities and set data-driven standards.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to implement fraud-related improvements and initiatives.
