Capital Area Health Network (CAHN) in Richmond, VA is seeking a Senior Certified Coder with FQHC expertise to ensure accurate outpatient coding across primary care, behavioral health, dental, and preventive services. The role requires CPC/CPC-H/CPC-P or RHIT certification and 5+ years of coding experience, including FQHC settings.

You will review documentation, mentor team members, and support audits and revenue cycle initiatives, working on-site with a focus on compliance and payer requirements.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of professional coding experience, including 3+ years in an FQHC setting.
• Certification via AAPC (CPC, CPC-H, or CPC-P) or RHIT required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS II, and Medicare/Medicaid coding guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Perform detailed coding of outpatient visits across primary care, behavioral health, dental, and preventive services per FQHC guidelines.
• Ensure proper coding for Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers.
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy and coding appropriateness.
• Serve as a coding resource and mentor junior staff.
• Support audits, chart reviews, and responses to coding inquiries.
• Keep up-to-date with coding updates and payer policies.
