Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking FPGA Verification Engineers at Level 3 or 4 in Linthicum, MD. The role focuses on functional verification of RTL for complex FPGA, using VUnit, Verilog, SystemVerilog and VHDL, with emphasis on test plans and regression testing.

As part of a cross-disciplinary team, you will develop testbenches, VIPs, and coverage models, analyze failures, and coordinate with design teams to meet schedule and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience; or a master's with 3 years; or a PhD with 0 years in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or related field
• 3+ years FPGA verification experience with VUnit
• Experience with HDL (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL) in an IDE
• U.S. citizen; DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance possible
• Experience developing test plans, participating in reviews, RTL debug

Responsibilities

• Perform functional verification of RTL code for FPGA at block level and SOC level using VUnit
• Develop testbench, tests, VIPs, verification models, coverage models, simulation and debug
• Develop a verification plan based on design specifications
• Analyze failures from simulations, identify root causes, and work with designers to resolve issues
• Automate regression testing to ensure new changes do not break existing functionality
• Collaborate across teams to accomplish design goals
