Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking FPGA Verification Engineers at our Linthicum, Maryland location. The role focuses on verifying digital designs for FPGA/ASIC, developing testbenches, and ensuring correctness before manufacture.

You'll work with VUnit, RTL code, and verification IP while collaborating across multiple teams to deliver robust digital subsystems. Qualified candidates hold a degree in a related field with hands-on FPGA verification experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 3 years of FPGA verification experience using VUnit.
• Experience with HDL (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL) and FPGA/ASIC design tools.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with design and verification teams and apply modern verification methods, tools and techniques.
• Perform functional verification of RTL code for complex FPGA at block and SOC levels using VUnit.
• Develop testbenches, tests, VIPs, coverage models, and regression tests with thorough reporting.
• Create verification plans based on design specifications and requirements.
• Analyze failures, root-cause bugs with designers, and drive fixes.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams to achieve goals.
