Job summary

Echodyne seeks a Senior FPGA Development Engineer to design radar subsystems and deliver high-performance FPGA solutions. You will work closely with radar, signal processing, and software teams to develop robust HDL implementations for secure, real-time radar systems.

In this role you will mentor junior engineers, shape HDL development practices, and own critical design tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position is US-based with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or equivalent military / industry experience.
• 5+ years of designing, implementing, building, integrate and testing Verilog/System Verilog and VHDL software solutions.
• Working knowledge of hardware/PCB design and embedded software and verification.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, integrate, and test FPGA-based solutions.
• Write efficient, robust, timing optimized, and maintainable VHDL/Verilog code.
• Take responsibility and assume ownership for tasks; seeking guidance when needed.
• Develop and execute a plan of action based on design requirements and constraints.
• Hold and participate in design reviews and peer reviews.
• Work with and support team members, both technical and non-technical. Representing yourself to others with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Drive improvements to coding practices and tools across engineering.
• Design and develop reusable cross platform architectures and frameworks.
• Help drive and support testing efforts across teams and projects.
• Work alongside radar, signal processing, and software engineers to implement platform functionality to meet specific system control and signal processing needs.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to junior developers.
