Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join the Product Engineering NPI group, overseeing reliability qualification and manufacturability of FPGA products from development to production.

You will collaborate with Technology Development, Circuit and Logic Design, Applications, Component Engineering, and Quality teams to drive product releases. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in semiconductors, strong Verilog/VHDL, C, Python, and Perl skills, and hands-on experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with software automation and hardware development.
• Proficient in Verilog/VHDL, C, Python, and Perl.
• Experience using Agentic AI to develop data tools.
• Experience with ATE, bench, and wafer test systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for product reliability qualification of next generation FPGA products.
• Lead product qualification activities and drive corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Define qualification designs, develop hardware, and verify test conditions.
• Perform statistical data analysis and ensure datasheet compliance.
• Support production test flows and analyze test coverage and yield.
