Job summary

Emerson's Test and Measurement Systems group in Austin is seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Engineer to own FPGA design and digital board development throughout the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with hardware, software, and RF teams to deliver high-speed digital solutions and robust prototypes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in digital hardware design.
• Experience using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog to implement synthesizable logic targeting FPGAs.
• Experience using schematic capture and board layout tools for PCB design.
• Located within a commutable distance to Austin, TX, or willing to relocate.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary hardware teams to develop test and measurement products.
• Develop register maps and documentation to convey design intent.
• Own the full FPGA design, including logic, data movement, testbenches, timing analysis.
• Own all digital board level design: schematic entry, layout guidelines, SI simulations, validation.
• Develop and execute plans for prototype hardware bring-up and board validation.
• Provide status updates and raise technical concerns in project meetings.
