Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. in San Diego, CA seeks an FPGA Engineer to design and test high-speed FPGA systems for space and national security applications.

You will work on Xilinx-based designs, embedded Linux, and camera-related architectures, reporting to the VP of Product Design in an onsite role. The role requires a Bachelor's in EE and 5+ years of FPGA/firmware experience, HDL skills, and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of firmware design, integration & test (preferably with Xilinx).
• Experience with implementing and documenting FPGA designs using HDL (VHDL, SystemVerilog).
• Experience with lab equipment.
• Experience drafting comprehensive technical documentation.
• Capable of multi-tasking and supporting production activities.

Responsibilities

• Designing and testing complex, high speed FPGA designs (Xilinx).
• Designing and testing embedded applications using the Xilinx Zynq family.
• Developing architectures compatible with embedded Linux environments.
• Designing and supporting top-level system simulations.
• Translating system requirements into FPGA architectures.
• Implementing FPGA designs using HDL (VHDL, SystemVerilog).
• Supporting systems integration and Test Engineering.
• Contributing to architecture of next-gen multi-megapixel camera systems.
• Designing systems for Imager data and Image processing (Embedded Camera).
• Creating test plans to assure performance meets specs.
