Job summary

Leidos is seeking an FPGA Engineer in San Diego to lead the development of sophisticated FPGA designs for space-related sensor systems. You will participate from architecture through hardware testing, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and leveraging Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ and RFSoC platforms.

You will synthesize and verify FPGA designs, build HDL test benches, and ensure timing closure for high-speed interfaces, while supporting lab activities and system integration.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5+ years in R&D or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance.
• Experience testing FPGA/CPLD designs in electronics lab.
• Fluency with Vivado, Modelsim or Riviera; proficiency in testbenches and verification methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test FPGA designs for sensor systems and Space/Civil applications.
• Design, implement, and validate HDL test benches (VHDL/Verilog).
• Synthesize, place and route to meet timing on high-speed FPGAs.
