Job summary

Neuralink is hiring an Electrical Engineer to design, verify, and transition FPGA-based electronics to production for a surgical robotics system. You will work on high-speed image processing, real-time motor control, and camera designs within a safety-critical environment.

Responsibilities include hardware validation, lab debugging, and firmware that enables these devices, with a strong emphasis on EMI/ESD, thermal management and packaging guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience delivering on all phases of electronics design (requirements, part selection, schematic, layout, manufacturing, test).
• Strong demonstrated depth in FPGA Hardware Design with experience in time-sensitive, high-performance applications including image processing, high-speed data acquisition, real-time networking, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, verify, and oversee transition to production of custom electronics with emphasis on FPGA-based hardware and real-time processing.
• Own projects such as high-speed image processing pipelines, real-time motor control, custom camera designs, robotics stage sensor integration and manufacturing automation.
• Develop firmware enabling all devices and ensure hardware validation, lab debugging, and performance tuning for real-time systems.
