Job summary

K2 Space is seeking a software engineer to help develop and verify FPGA firmware for the largest spacecraft ever flown. You will write mission-critical code to control propulsion, attitude, RF and power systems, ensuring safe operation across missions.

In the first year you will implement larger FPGA systems, validate with software and hardware-in-the-loop simulators, and drive robustness across multiple spacecraft.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years with complex FPGA designs across digital, mixed signal or RF.
  • Experience with VHDL or SystemVerilog.

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture and implementation of critical programmable logic across spacecraft.
  • Implement architectures in RTL using VHDL and SystemVerilog.
  • Verify FPGA designs via simulation, bench-testing and Hardware In The Loop.
  • Support integration, test and debugging for FPGA designs across development.
