Job summary

K2 Space is seeking an FPGA engineer to join the software team at the frontier of space-grade avionics. You will develop and verify FPGA firmware for propulsion, attitude, RF, and power systems, writing RTL in VHDL/SystemVerilog and collaborating across spacecraft subsystems.

In the first two years you will implement large FPGA systems, run software/hardware-in-the-loop tests, and help ensure fault-tolerant, real-time data routing for high-reliability missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE/math or 3+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of FPGA design experience across digital, mixed-signal, or RF.
• Development experience with VHDL or SystemVerilog.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and implementation of critical programmable logic for spacecraft subsystems.
• Implement RTL using VHDL and SystemVerilog.
• Verify FPGA designs with simulation, bench-testing, and Hardware-In-The-Loop tests.
• Support integration, test, and troubleshooting across development and manufacturing.
• Develop tools and infrastructure for fast, high-reliability FPGA solutions.
