Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience with cross-functional hardware/embedded product development teams.
• 6+ years designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog.
• Experience using code-generators to translate MATLAB/Simulink algorithms into FPGA implementations.
• Proficient in C and C++.
• Experience with RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems).
• Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB interfaces.
• Familiarity with flight software architectures and development processes for embedded systems.
• Proficiency with basic EE test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators).
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver robust embedded processing solutions for communications and networking.
• Execute and optimize the FPGA Firmware lifecycle from algorithms in MATLAB and/or Simulink to architecture, design, development, test and sustainment for FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs.
• Establish and optimize product development workflows across the HDL firmware lifecycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, testing).
• Develop microProcessor ICDs between FPGA and message/data handling schemes.
