Job summary

Trenton Systems, Inc. is seeking an FPGA Embedded Software Engineer to drive software/firmware projects across design, verification, and manufacturing phases of multi-year computing products.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems teams to deliver high-quality, on-time solutions. The role requires strong FPGA software expertise, a track record of delivering complex projects within budget, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in software and firmware engineering, particularly FPGA.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Proven ability to complete software and firmware projects on-time and within budget.
• Technical ability to develop in Linux, Windows and embedded environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform software and firmware design in BIOS, OS drivers, scripts, embedded Linux, PIC microcontrollers, and other environments.
• Adapt to new environments and technologies as needed.
• Contribute across project lifecycle: design, documentation, vendor communication, testing, manufacturing.
• Create process and product documentation for internal and external end-users.
• Provide Project Management support including tracking on new designs.
• Support manufacturing facility with technical issues.
• Identify improvements in efficiency and product/process quality.
