Job summary

Trenton-Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer II (Senior Level) to join the systems engineering team and coordinate high-quality designs for next-generation products including rugged server chassis and edge-compute form-factors. You will review customer requirements, suggest solutions, and coordinate product integration while documenting design outputs.

The role reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and requires collaboration with electrical, mechanical, software, and test teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in engineering design OR 5+ years of technical experience.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and embedded systems architecture.
• Familiarity with MRP or similar (Engineering Change Orders/ Production processes).
• Familiarity with engineering analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conceptualize, and create design architecture against requirements.
• Manage customer and system requirements and ensure traceability.
• Evaluate alternatives and support make/buy decisions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team across electrical, mechanical, software, and test engineers.
