Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, Maryland seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Digital Design Engineer to develop digital logic for space systems. Role requires FPGA design using Xilinx/Microsemi tools and cross-functional collaboration.

Bachelors in STEM with 5+ yrs or Masters with 3+ yrs; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance. Clear and thorough documentation is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with 5 years related experience or Master’s with 3 years or PhD with 0 years.
• Experience designing, architecting, and using various FPGAs in processor designs (VHDL a plus).
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital logic designs for space applications like satellite command and control.
• Design and modify digital logic with Xilinx and Microsemi FPGA IDEs.
• Simulate and verify FPGA logic designs and support system-level validation.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to provide innovative solutions.
• Communicate clearly to cross-functional teams and document analyses and tests.
