Job summary

Footbridge Federal is seeking an experienced FPGA/ASIC design engineer to contribute to mission-critical defense programs. The role requires active SECRET clearance and hands-on work in FPGA firmware, high-speed interfaces, and verification.

You will collaborate with hardware teams to resolve timing, implement robust designs, and support hardware bring-up in a secure environment. On-site, with a focus on rapid, reliable delivery and technical mentorship within small teams.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• 8+ years FPGA/ASIC design experience (or fewer with advanced degree).
• Strong proficiency in VHDL or Verilog HDL coding.
• Familiarity with Xilinx Vivado or Intel/Altera Quartus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop FPGA firmware for mission-critical applications.
• Integrate high-speed interfaces (SERDES, PCIe, DDR2/3/4, LVDS).
• Perform static timing analysis and address clock domain crossing challenges.
• Run digital simulations to verify functionality and support hardware bring-up.
