Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in MA to design and implement FPGA-based radar systems. You will develop FPGA code in VHDL/Verilog, verify designs, and collaborate across systems, hardware, and software teams.

A DoD Secret clearance is required, with relocation eligibility and production-ready FPGA releases. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in digital design, FPGA synthesis, and experience with Xilinx/Intel FPGA toolchains, plus strong problem-solving and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with digital design and VHDL or Verilog coding.
• Experience with FPGA platforms from AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera or Actel families.

Responsibilities

• Own or contribute to FPGA-based designs for radar applications.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements and architecture.
• Code in VHDL and verify with directed and constrained tests.
• Lead small teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Create documentation including verification plans and user guides.
