Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal FPGA Engineer in an onsite role based in Fort Wayne, IN. You will design, verify, and lead FPGA/ASIC activities across multiple vendor families, translating system requirements into robust FPGA architectures and interfaces.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to product lifecycle from architecture through production. A DoD security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with FPGA/ASIC design or verification (VHDL/Verilog, SystemVerilog).
• Hands-on lab integration and debug of FPGA/ASIC designs.

Responsibilities

• Provide full lifecycle support for production FPGA designs across major vendors.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA-level specifications and CONOPS.
• Lead small FPGA teams and mentor junior engineers in design/verification.
• Verify designs with directed tests and constrained random testing.
