Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical/Computer Engineer to contribute to testbench design, implementation, and verification of high‑performance digital ASICs and FPGAs for signal processing and information assurance within Mission Systems on the Microelectronics Technology team.

You will lead verification activities using SystemVerilog with UVM, develop test plans and coverage metrics, and collaborate with a skilled team to meet ambitious schedules while adopting best

Qualifications

• RTL coding and simulation in VHDL or Verilog.
• Testbench development for the verification of RTL blocks using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog.
• Familiarity with chip-level verification techniques and SystemVerilog.
• Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Subversion).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision as part of a team with aggressive schedules.
• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 8 years experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Verification environment architecture and design using SystemVerilog with UVM/UVM-F.
• Create written test plan, test cases, code coverage tracking, and functional coverage tracking.
• Testbench development for RTL verification using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
• Recommend new tools and practices for continuous improvement in ASIC/FPGA verification flow.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for new programs.
• Provide technical leadership for project verification teams.
