Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced FPGA/ASIC design engineer to support Avionic Systems Division’s Command and Data Handling efforts at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will design, verify, and test high‑reliability digital electronics such as FPGA/ASIC boards and systems.

Qualified candidates have 8+ years in digital hardware, VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, and CAD tools, with strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and on‑site work capability (4 days/week).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience in digital/microelectronic hardware.
• Experience with FPGA/ASIC design using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and verify FPGA/ASIC boards, units, and systems for digital electronics applications.
• Perform independent verification and validation of contractor designs to ensure requirements conformance.
• Develop and test software/scripts, firmware, and test equipment for hardware testing.
