Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to lead the design of avionics FPGA hardware in a hands-on, on-site role in San Jose, CA. The position covers design, verification, and production support for high-reliability spacecraft electronics.

The ideal candidate has extensive FPGA experience, SystemVerilog/VHDL proficiency, and a track record of fault-tolerant designs for space applications, collaborating across hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years FPGA design experience.
• Proficiency in RTL design using SystemVerilog and/or VHDL.
• Experience with FPGA synthesis, place-and-route, timing closures.
• Experience with fault tolerance strategies (TMR, ECC, scrubbing).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and make recommendations on FPGA design choices.
• Own FPGA development through design, production, and integration.
• Deliver high-performance, reliable FPGA implementations with timing closure.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure successful project delivery.
