Firefly Aerospace is seeking an FPGA Development Lead to shape the future of our launch vehicles and spacecraft. You will lead high-reliability FPGA design efforts, mentor engineers, and drive RTL development, verification, and timing closure across avionics and ground systems.

You will collaborate with embedded software, hardware, GNC, and systems engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment. Strong communication and leadership are essential to succeed in this cross-disciplinary role.

Competenze

• Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years FPGA development experience required.
• Strong proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design.
• Experience with FPGA architectures (AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or similar) including timing closure, place-and-route, and constraints.
• Hands-on FPGA lab bring-up, debugging, and integration with embedded systems or hardware.
• Ability to mentor or technically lead other engineers; formal management not required.
• Comfort working in a dynamic startup-like environment and collaborating across disciplines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
