Job summary

CBIZ is seeking a Senior Principal to join our Strategic FP&A practice as a full-time consultant. You will support private equity backed portfolio companies by implementing strategic FP&A initiatives, forecasting models, and data analytics to enable proactive decision-making during transactions and transitions.

The role requires a strong finance/accounting foundation, 7+ years in related fields, and the ability to present complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in Consulting/Advisory with a focus on finance effectiveness, strategy and operations, analytics, performance improvement or technology
• Experience in Large company Corporate FP&A or Sales/Ops Finance Analyst roles
• Intermediate knowledge of BI Tools or Data Analytics
• Strong working knowledge of finance and accounting concepts such as financial statement mechanics
• Ability to present and support accounting/finance concepts to drive analysis and decisions (financial statement analysis, ratios, budgeting/forecasting)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (MATCH, array functions, nested logic)
• Strong business acumen with verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Provide core financial and operational reporting and strategic analysis for private equity backed companies
• Prepare financial information, models and analyses per engagement requirements
• Communicate with company management, PE deal and operational teams to plan and deliver workstreams
• Develop and deploy actionable plans to meet expectations and report results to stakeholders
• Own budgeting/forecasting, financial and operational reporting, profitability analysis, and data management
• Identify risks and mitigation plans with Project Lead guidance
• Manage internal and external resources to achieve FP&A deliverables
