Job summary

Metropolis in Seattle is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key driver of our corporate finance function. You will lead forecasting cycles, perform variance analysis, and build models to support capital allocation and long-range planning.

You will translate complex data into executive narratives, advise business units, and help manage OpEx and headcount while ensuring profitability. The base salary offered ranges from $95,000 to $120,000 USD per year, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, or Investment Banking in high-growth tech environment.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/EPM systems (NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan).
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to analyze unit economics across diverse business lines.
• Experience using generative AI and data tools to accelerate financial modeling, synthesize market research, and automate routine reporting.
• Ability to convey data-driven narratives and provide forward-looking guidance to leadership.
• Excellent data storytelling and precise visual presentation of insights.
• Proactive with multi-priority delivery under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles.
• Perform variance analysis to explain Actuals vs. Budget/Forecast.
• Build dynamic financial models for capital allocation and long-range planning.
• Advise business units and translate performance into enterprise impact.
• Help manage OpEx and headcount while maintaining profitability.
• Prepare board-ready reporting and internal dashboards.
• Audit data integrity and refine financial workflows.
• Identify automation opportunities and document SOPs.
