Cytokinetics, a specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an Associate Director of FP&A (Commercial Finance) to partner with its Commercial organization during its transition to a commercial-stage biopharma. This role leads budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for commercial Opex and headcount, providing strategic financial guidance to Sales, Marketing, and related teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; MBA a plus.
• 10+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience, including commercial finance partnering.
• Commercial-stage biotech/pharma experience.
• Experience supporting Commercial functions on Opex and headcount.
• Advanced financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting; able to build structure in scaling env.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills; influence senior leaders.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis and reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary finance business partner to assigned Commercial functions (Sales, Marketing, etc.).
• Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plan for Opex and headcount.
• Deliver budget-to-actual variance analysis and recommend actions to improve forecast accuracy.
• Provide decision support on commercial investments and business cases.
• Translate business priorities into actionable financial recommendations.
• Prepare executive-level analyses for Finance leadership and Board materials.
• Build scalable planning infrastructure (models, dashboards, planning system reporting).
